JPC opened the China campaign with a 100 km team time trial on the rolling Tianfu circuit south of Chengdu. The discipline is unforgiving — pace, alignment and rotation must be perfect from the gun, and any rider dropped costs the team time on the clock.

The squad held formation through the early flat sector before the climbing rollers split the rotation. Final time of 2h 18' 42" placed JPC 14th of 15 teams — outside our target band but a clean execution given this was the team's first TTT of the season.
Day one was always going to be the toughest of the four China starts. The TTT punishes any weakness in cohesion and we knew our preparation window had been short. Pace through the opening 30 km was on plan; we lost time on the second half once the rotation tightened to four. The 14/15 result is a fair reflection of where we are in this discipline — the lessons are already feeding into how we'll prep the next TTT block. Tomorrow's individual road stage is where we expect to see real fitness signals from the riders.

A nervous, surge-heavy 105.5 km on rolling terrain. The peloton split repeatedly through the middle third as the GC contenders sent attacks; only the strongest rouleurs stayed in the front group through to the line.

Dealton was our strongest finisher at 46th, hanging in through the splits; Dendra (56) and Sultan (70) crossed the line in the bigger bunch. The three DNFs reflected a brutal day for the back of the peloton — long days at altitude and a fast tempo took their toll.
This was a hard day to absorb but useful data. The riders who finished did so by reading the surges correctly and never letting the bunch close in front of them — that's the skill ceiling we need to build into the rest of the squad. The DNFs came from a mix of bonking and being shelled in the third hour, which is a fitness signal more than a tactical one. We close Chengdu without the result we wanted, but with three riders who handled the race tempo and good intelligence on what the next block needs to address. Now: travel south, two days' rest, Guangzhou.

A short, sharp 92.3 km opener around the Guangzhou circuit. Predictably nervous from the gun — international stage races almost always begin this way, with riders fresh and every team looking for an early statement. Tempo lifted from km 30 onwards.

JPC kept all six riders in the bunch throughout — the priority on Stage 1 was to stay safe, read the wind, and bring everyone to the line in one piece. 13th in team classification was modest but exactly the platform we needed for Stage 2, where Sultan was the protected card.
Stage 1 was a holding day, and we held it well. After the difficult Chengdu block, our first job here was to put the bad day to bed and reset — six riders on the start, six riders home, no crashes. From the car the team rode disciplined: we sat in, covered the moves that mattered, and wasted no energy on speculative attacks. Sultan reported good legs in the final kilometres, which was the read I wanted before tomorrow. The plan for Stage 2 is to put him into position from km 110 onwards and protect his run-in.

143 km — the longest day of the campaign and the final stage of the race. The break went up early; the sprinters' teams brought it back inside the last 25 km. Sultan rode the closing kilometres in good position, surfing wheels into the final corners and launching with a clean line into the run-in to take 6th on the line.

A top-10 stage finish at an international race in China — and the same finishing time as the winner. Sultan also picked up 10 sprint points at the finish, taking him to 14th in the Sprint Classification overall. After Chengdu, this is the result that reframes the whole campaign: it was the right rider on the right day, executed cleanly.
This is the moment we came to China for. Sultan rode a complete final 30 km — patience through the regrouping, then real composure in the bunch as the lead-out trains formed up. The boys did exactly what we asked, sheltering him through the technical sector and putting him into the top 15 with 3 km to go. From there it was on him, and he delivered: 6th place, same time as the winner, and 10 sprint points to put him onto the points classification leaderboard. After a difficult Chengdu, this stage closes the campaign with a real signal — not just for Sultan as a finisher, but for what this group can do when the road suits us. We take this back to Jakarta with a lot of confidence.
From a hard opening day in Chengdu to a top-10 stage on the closing day of Guangzhou — Sultan's 6th-place ride is our headline, but every kilometre raced by every JPC rider in China was a step forward for an Indonesian team learning international racing from the inside.

Three days in Anhui against Burgos-BH, Euskaltel-Euskadi and 15 other Continental teams — the highest UCI category JPC has raced this season. Dimas Nur Fadhil Rizqi came out of it 3rd in the Asian Riders Classification and 25th overall.
