Overview

The Huaxia Bank Tour of Beijing · Mentougou brought twenty teams to the mountains west of the Chinese capital for three stages and 346 kilometres. The field was strong for an Asia Tour race: TotalEnergies of France, MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort of Italy, Li Ning Star, Roojai Insurance Winspace, Victoria Sports and Seoul Cycling Team among them.

Jakarta Pro Cycling started six riders. Two were lost on the opening mountain stage, and the remaining four rode the rest of the race as a unit — and got stronger every day. Dimas Nur Fadhil Rizqi finished second in the Asian Riders Classification and fourteenth overall, in a race won outright by a French ProTeam.

Stage 1 · 25 September

Zhaitang.

115.2 km · Two laps · Average 42.769 km/h

A hard opening: two ascents of the Zhaitang loop, and twelve riders out of the race before the finish. Dimas and Dendra both made the second group, crossing together at 23rd and 26th, 6:11 down — a solid start for a team with no protected rider.

It cost us. Haritz Affan Torisz and Andrean Chandra Agung did not finish, and the team went from six riders to four on day one. Jakarta Pro Cycling ended the stage 14th on the road and 6th Asian team.

Tianzhuang.

116.8 km · Cat. 1 summit at 949 m · Average 39.194 km/h

Dimas rode very smart with the leader , finishing way ahead the asian competitor for 15th place

Stage 3 · 27 September

City Circuit.

114 km · Twelve laps of 9.5 km · Average 46.931 km/h

The fastest stage of the race by seven kilometres an hour — twelve laps of a 9.5 km city circuit at 46.9 km/h, with only one rider failing to finish.

Our best team day. All four riders came home in the leaders' time, three of them inside the top forty, and Jakarta Pro Cycling took third place in the Asian team ranking for the stage — behind only Seoul Cycling Team and Pardus. Dimas held second Asian rider overall to the line.

Dimas Nur Fadhil Rizqi · 8:18:03, +11:06 — second only to Tegshbayar Batsaikhan of Roojai Insurance Winspace, and clear of every Korean, Chinese, Thai and Filipino rider in the race.
